Policy for Children:
The Pantages Theatre welcomes patrons ages 5 and older. As a courtesy to our guests, children under the age of 5 will not be permitted in the theatre. Please be aware that all patrons, regardless of age, must have a ticket.

Late Seating Policy:
The seating procedure for latecomers is subject to the discretion of the theatrical presentation in performance at the theatre, and policies may vary by seating section. Generally speaking, patrons who arrive after a performance begins will be required to wait in the lobby area until such point in the performance when late-seating is allowed. Two large monitors in the lobby allow patrons to see and hear the performance in progress until they are allowed to take their seats. Once the seating hold ends, patrons will be escorted directly to their seats by an usher.

Policy on Smoking:
Smoking is prohibited in the Pantages Theatre.

ACCESS

Policy for Physically Challenged:
$35 tickets are available for patrons in wheelchairs. As a courtesy, patrons in wheelchairs are permitted to purchase one additional $35 ticket for his or her companion. Wheelchair tickets are sold on a first-come, first-served basis at the theatre box office only. Please be sure to inform the Box Office representative of your seating needs when purchasing tickets. Accessible seating for physically challenged patrons is available in the orchestra level only. There is no elevator in the Pantages Theatre, and the Mezzanine (2nd) Level is accessible only by stairs.

Restroom Accessibility:
The Pantages is equipped with one accessible restroom on the main floor. In addition, accessible restrooms are available for both men and women in the lower alcove located on the east end of the main lobby; this area is wheelchair accessible with the assistance of an electronic lift.

Seat Accessibility:
For those who are not able to get out of a wheelchair, there are designated wheelchair spaces in the side of the orchestra section on the main floor. In addition, the Pantages provides a number of aisle seat locations in the Orchestra with movable arms which allow for added ease to those who are able to transfer from a wheelchair to a theatre seat.

Services for Physically Challenged:
Theatre representatives are available to meet physically challenged theatergoers in the lobby of the building to escort them to designated accessible areas. Neither the 2nd floor of the theatre, nor the stairway landings, are served by elevators.

Sound Enhancement:
Headset devices are available free-of-charge to the hearing impaired. These comfortable headsets amplify all stage sounds. Patrons wishing to obtain one of these devices should be prepared to leave a driver’s license or major credit card, which is returned to the patron when he or she turns in the headset device at the end of the performance.

D-Scriptive - Service for sight-challenged patrons:
During the show, the blind or sight-impaired audience member hears a detailed description of all the visual aspects of the production, including choreography, lighting, sets and costumes. It is timed perfectly to the show’s cueing system, and adjusts itself according to any fluctuations in the performance. D-Scriptive is offered at no charge to sight-challenged patrons.

I-Caption - Service for hearing-challenged patrons:
This hand-held, automated captioning system for the deaf and severely hearing-impaired theatregoer receives the signal from the master system and displays verbatim texts of the entire show, including lyrics, announcements and show information. The captioning device, approximately the size of a small PDA, can either be held by the patron, or placed in a specially fitted receptacle on the seat-back in front of them, specifically tailored to each theatre. The incredibly sharp screen is not visible to anyone not directly in front of the device, so as to avoid any distraction to neighbors. Even though the text keeps pace with the show, the user can scroll backwards at any time, to review previously displayed information. I-Caption is offered at no charge to hearing-challenged patrons.

ShowTrans - Translations in Spanish, Japanese, French, German and Portuguese:
The theatre patron wears a tiny earphone in one ear through which he can hear the translation commentary throughout the show. A signal is transmitted, via either light wave or radio wave, to a multi-channel receiver that has been tuned to the desired language. ShowTrans commentary may be rented for $10 per ear receiver.

ASL Interpreted Performances
The Pantages Theatre is pleased to offer ASL interpreted performances. Please note that seating locations vary based on specific requirements of each show. For more information about ASL performances, please visit www.broadwayla.org, or call 323-468-1780/voice (hours: Mon-Fri 10am-5pm).
